Sticklit

for authors & publishers

Sticklit

We turn books into animated short stories.

Short literary videos that bring your characters, atmosphere, and emotional conflict to life — designed for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and book promotion.

Sending an inquiry does not mean we accept your book. We read first and only offer a project if it fits our style and audience.

the difference

More than a book trailer.

We do not simply animate your book cover. We adapt your story into a compelling short-form narrative with emotional pacing and our recognizable literary animation style — designed to introduce viewers to the heart of your book and leave them curious to read more.

01

Story Adaptation

We identify the strongest character, conflict, scene, or emotional hook from your book.

02

A Video That Feels Like the Book

Emotional pacing and atmosphere adapted to our literary animation style — not a generic trailer template.

03

Made for Short-Form

Vertical, snackable, and built for how readers actually discover books on Reels and TikTok.

04

Revision Process

You review the first version and can request reasonable changes before final approval.

the process

Fit first. Then production.

We do not accept every book. We read first; if we offer a project, Sticklit emails the collaboration agreement from [email protected] for you to confirm before any work is booked.

  1. i.

    Email Your Book

Send a digital copy, synopsis, or selected chapters to [email protected], plus the scene or theme you want highlighted. An inquiry is not an acceptance.

  2. ii.

    We Read & Decide Fit

Sticklit reads your material and decides whether it fits our style and audience. If it does not, we will decline politely. Only if we offer a collaboration do packages and pricing apply.

  3. iii.

    Collaboration Agreement

If we move forward, Sticklit emails you a written collaboration agreement from [email protected] covering scope, package, fees, timeline, revisions, delivery, and usage rights. You review it and reply to that same email to confirm (accept/sign). Nothing is booked until that confirmation.

  4. iv.

    Creative Direction

After the agreement is confirmed, Sticklit develops the narration, visual concept, tone, and scene structure with you.

  5. v.

    Deposit & Production

Once the 25% deposit is paid, we begin creating the animation.

  6. vi.

    Review & Revisions

You receive a preview and submit one consolidated list of requested changes (per your package's revision rounds).

  7. vii.

    Final Delivery

After approval, the remaining 75% is paid and you receive the unwatermarked video. For the $850 package, we then schedule the post on Sticklit's channels.

to review your book

What we need from you.

  • A digital copy, synopsis, or selected chapter
  • The book title and author name (or imprint / publisher)
  • The intended audience and genre
  • The central scene, character, or theme you want highlighted
  • The book cover and relevant promotional assets
  • Confirmation that you control the necessary promotional rights
  • Your preferred deadline

Sending materials starts a review only. We will reply with either an offer or a polite decline — not every book is accepted.

the fine print

Worth knowing up front.

Sticklit is owned and operated by Rostin Enterprises LLC (Delaware, United States). Sticklit is not a separate company — contracts, invoices, and payments are under Rostin Enterprises LLC. Day-to-day email is from Sticklit at [email protected] (there is no separate Rostin Enterprises email for this service).

Emailing us is a request for review, not a booking. We read your material first. If it does not fit Sticklit's style or audience, we may decline the project — including promotion packages.

If we offer to collaborate, Sticklit emails a written collaboration agreement from [email protected]. That agreement is issued under Rostin Enterprises LLC. You must review and reply to confirm (accept/sign). Until then, no project is booked and no production work begins.

The agreement typically covers project scope, package and fees, timeline, revision rounds, payment schedule, delivery format, and permitted use of the finished video. Final terms are those stated in the signed agreement.

The author, publisher, or other client must have permission to provide and use all submitted book materials, excerpts, cover artwork, and related assets.

The $600 package delivers the finished video to you only. The $850 package also posts on Sticklit's Instagram (~350k followers) and TikTok (~80k followers), subject to editorial fit and scheduling.

Production begins only after we accept the project, the collaboration agreement is confirmed, required materials are received, and the 25% deposit is paid.

The remaining 75% is due after final approval and before delivery of the unwatermarked video.

We do not guarantee book sales, rankings, followers, views, or specific engagement results.

questions

Asked often.

If I email you, does that mean you'll take my book?

No. Emailing us starts a review, not a booking. We read your material first and only offer a collaboration if it fits Sticklit's style and audience. Many inquiries are declined.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes — if we decide to move forward. Sticklit emails a written collaboration agreement from [email protected]. The agreement is issued under Rostin Enterprises LLC (the company that owns Sticklit). You review it and reply to that same email to confirm (accept/sign). Production and deposits only proceed after that confirmation. This page is informational; the signed agreement controls the project terms.

What's the difference between $600 and $850?

Both packages include the same custom animated video delivered to you as an MP4. The $600 package is video-only — we do not post it. The $850 package also posts the video on Sticklit's Instagram (~350k followers) and TikTok (~80k followers), if we accept the book for promotion.

How long does production take?

Most projects are completed within about 5–10 days after we accept the project, receive the confirmed agreement, deposit, manuscript materials, and creative instructions. If you need it sooner, Express Delivery ($150) can deliver in one day.

Do I need to send the entire book?

A complete digital copy is preferred so we can judge fit. We can also start from a synopsis and selected chapters, but a fuller manuscript helps the review.

Can I request changes?

Yes. Each package includes up to two revision rounds. A revision round means one consolidated list of reasonable changes. Extra rounds are available as an add-on.

Can you use my audiobook narration?

Yes, provided you own or control the necessary rights to the audio recording.
